Michel Rolland is considered by many as the ultimate modern winemaker. He is a consultant for hundreds of estates over 13 countries and his wines are frequently acclaimed by wine critics.
Born on the right bank in a wine making family, he bought a oenology lab in 1973 with his wife and he now receives more than 400 hundred samples to analyze each year. His wines are often full bodied with silky tannins.
Michel Rolland is the owner of many estates in France like Chateau Bon Pasteur in Pomerol, Chateau Fontenil in Fronsac and many others. This "flying winemaker" also owns different estate in Argentina namely Yacochuya, Val de Flores and Clos de los Siete in Argentina.
He's also a consultant for some of the most famous Chateaux in France like Troplong Mondot, Angélus, Ausone, Pontet Canet, Pape Clément... and abroad with Ornellaia (Italy), Grover Vineyards (India), but also in Greece, Bulgaria, USA, Chile...
